after a while you realize...
your parents are your parents
faults and all
you get through your high school
drama and mid 20's & 30's
you wish you had the confidence
you possess now and could smash
it into your grade 8 self
you look for true love and find it
but you never give your whole self
like you did a decade ago...
you take pride in being a parent
and accept why your mom did things
they way she did...
you are just you and it's good
and you find peace with all the previous
journeys and hope the paths ahead
only make you
better.
