my friend erin was home
4 the holidays
we definitely have had our days
and times together
i didn't realize how much
i missed her until we sat
at lunch and giggled at
stupid pictures on our digital
cameras

i have the itch to move
it will pass but there
are days when i wish
i could have more
privacy

i went out tonight
after hockey
i ran into ex-students
who are making it
in the big world

happy new year...
i heard a great
story tonight
that made me
proud and
glad that
this place
is my
home.
