i have a month
and a half left
2 stay at home
with my son
my bff and i
were talkin'
about it 2night
it's gone 2 fast
when i first
got parker
i felt lucky
2 have the time
and still do
but as it ticks on
i wish i had what
my friends got
which is a full year
of paid maternity
adoptive parents
get 8.5 months
itz discrimination
plain and simple
his childcare
will be fantastic
while i work
but it still
makes me sad
that first day
back will be hard
parker was 4 days
old when i got him
i have had countless
sleepless nights
all worth it
there is not difference
between me and bio parents
i know in the states
maternity is way worse
but i am canadian
and wish that i got
the same as others
here
i'm not a second
class parent
biological parents get
50 weeks of paid leave
adoptive parents
35 weeks
hopefully

gosh he is getting so big...and looks so sweet.
if i were a mom, i would want to be a stay-at-home mom...no job is more important. now that being said, keep in mind it is quality not quantity.
that sweet little boy will know no matter what the circumstance...how very special he is because you picked him.
